People were already out by the river mouth when I got there so it was a
guess as to what sail size, it's difficult to judge the wind strength from
the launch point. 4.7 was about right as it turned out. Tacked up stream
towards the mouth and had a few runs with some nice jumps as the wind was
building. Went ashore to put some more downhaul on and carried on sailing
until dusk. Fast gybes and tacks were the order of the day with squalls
whipping through to test your commitment. Jumps were not so easy to come
by as the ramps were bang into wind but managed to get some big ones when
the ramps presented themselves.
Good fun and not too cold but the rain was annoying.
